Yes, it was a very hot July. But on this Saturday in July, it wasn’t heat but rain. And lots of it. Deer Creek Golf Course in Ajax is a beautiful location. Their clubhouse is BIG. There were 3 other weddings taking place at the time I was there for Amy and Mac’s wedding. And all 4 ceremonies and receptions were taking place in the clubhouse. There was a very nice outdoor spot next to the clubhouse for outdoor ceremonies. Beautiful gardens all around and a gazebo. We were hoping the rain would stop so we could use the outdoor location, but it didn’t. However … after their indoor ceremony the rain held off just long enough to go outside for family formals.

A big thank you to Amy and Mac for selecting Woodhouse Photography to handle their wedding photography. Deer Creek is a beautiful location. The day was a load of fun, the dinner was excellent and the party after everything was all said and done was great.

Later this August I will have the pleasure of shooting Stacy and Casey’s Peterborough wedding. However, quite recently we slipped in an engagement shoot at the popular Jackson Park. Engagement shoots are a great time to for my clients to get to know me better and vice versa. And the added benefit of the shoot is we create some great images for them to remember this young and exciting time of their life just before they were married.

This mid-July took me to Baxter Creek Golf Club for the ceremony and reception of Amber and Rob. This was not my first time to Baxter Creek Golf Club for a wedding and for those that have not been to Baxter Creek Golf Club, you will find a beautiful location for a small to medium sized wedding reception. The staff are great, the food is to rave about and the venue is excellent.

On the day of Amber and Rob’s wedding we saw really high winds for a short period of time, and severe storm clouds to our north. Fortunately for all, the wind calmed shortly after the outdoor ceremony and the storm clouds kept their distance and did not impact our time after the ceremony when were creating beautiful images.
