Ohio comes to Buckhorn (again!)

Last summer I had the pleasure of meeting a great family from Ohio that has a beautiful cottage on Deer Bay, Lower Buckhorn. We had a great time and captured some great family pictures. This summer I was very pleasantly surprised when Andrea contacted me yet again. I was told the family had grown by 1 (their new son Noah) and the family wanted me back out to capture the growing family. Unfortunately her father and grandmother could not make it out this time (were back in the U.S. on family business), but we still had a great time taking lots of pic’s where Noah was the center of attention. Congratulations guys on your new family member, we could not have asked for a more patient baby during our time together. He is very cute and I could see very well loved. Good job!

Here are a few of my favorites from their collection.

very proud grandma …

Erin & Kevin – Hastings

One of my weddings from this past July took me to Hastings. A lovely drive southeast of Peterborough through Keene. I didn’t realize that Hastings was on the Trent Severn. Reason for that is I am more familiar with the Trent Severn from Peterborough through Bobcaygeon. Anyways … back on topic!

Erin and Kevin are a fantastic Peterborough couple. They and their family are and were relaxed and good down-to-earth people. Spending the day with them was a real pleasure. The wedding took place in their parents back yard. I could tell when I showed up that a lot of care had been put into the yard for their families big day. After the ceremony we had the formals a simple one block walk down the street and the reception was a two block walk from there! Love the weddings where everything is in walking distance!

Here are a selection of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Patience is a virtue …
I’m surprised I got a shot of the ring bearer! He was moving around so much it would have been easier to snap an image of a chicken being chased by a coyote!

Going Kung Fu! I think I see from left to right … Crane, Tiger, Praying Mantis … and not really sure what that last one was. LOL

Let the angels trumpet!

Grandma reminded me sooooo much of my wife’s past Grandmother, Ruby.

Beaver Lake Family Shoot

Recently I had the pleasure of doing a family shoot here in Buckhorn, in the beautiful Beaver Lake area. This area north of Peterborough has some real gems. On the way to their cottage I came across a fox with dinner in its mouth walking along the side of Beaver Lake Rd. On the way home in roughly the same area I came across a large deer slipping across the road and into the bush. It was a great start and a perfect ending to an excellent family shoot.
