Yup … that time of year again. It’s nice having a real tree as the smell adds to the home with an association of Christmas. I put the tree up and take care of the lights then the rest of the family decorates it. Come the start of January, we do the same in reverse and out it goes. Our biggest worry is the cat trying to climb it or the dog grabbing onto the branches and trying to pull it over. Or the dog trying to get the decorations to chew. That’s the reason there are no decorations along the bottom, within reach of the little trouble-maker.

On November 22nd I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle & Adam and some of Michelle’s family at their cottage on Salmon Lake, north Buckhorn. They were a great, down-to-earth group with a fantastic new cottage. The cottage will be the location of their summer ‘09 wedding which I will have the pleasure of shooting. While visiting them at their cottage, we did an engagement shoot. They were great to work with. It was cold … very cold when not wearing a jacket which is what they did for the entire shoot. Every 15 minutes or so we would run back into the cottage to warm up, then out we’d go again for some more picture fun. Here are some of my favorites.
