Blushing Brides Bridal Boutique – Peterborough, Ontario

Woodhouse Photography

Recently I had the pleasure of shooting one of Peterborough’s Blushing Brides models to highlight one of their beautiful wedding gowns for a new advertisement. For those that are local, you may already know of Blushing Brides on George Street, right in the downtown core. They are a well known business who have received several local awards over the years.

As described to me by Blushing Brides owner, Sharon Genge “This beautiful satin gown has a sweetheart neckline, pleated body and gentle ruching throughout the skirt. It is available in natural only and comes with a cap sleeve bolero jacket. The gown is manufacturer in Canada by Mikaella and it is from the 2009 Fall Collection.”

Wow. That is the first word that comes to mind when asked about the June edition of Kawartha Life magazine. Myself and two other local talents had the pleasure of being featured in the magazine, representing for Kawartha Life Magazine, wedding photography in the Kawartha’s. When I received the phone call from Carol Lawless of Kawartha Life I was very flattered. I am truly fortunate and blessed to be selected amongst all of the local talent at her disposal. And an added pat-on-the-back is one of my images was selected for the cover. Yay me! :)

And a HUGE thank you and congrat’s to my spring 2008 couple Kristin and Ben that are on the cover. You guys look awesome in print.

I recently submitted several images to the Peterborough Economic and Development Association when they ran a simple “call for photos” contest. If they use an image in their catalogue, they’ll give you a whole $20! Woohoo! Anyways, they appear to share the images as the Kawartha Life magazine used one of them. That’s fine with me. All I was hoping for was if they used any of the images I gave them it would be ones that the kids were in. This way they can enjoy seeing themselves in a magazine. This image was used in the fall 2008 magazine; page 16. I have met Debbie Crossen (the Editor) and she is a great lady that is very involved in community activities.

Here is the page from the magazine. Click to enlarge.
